A romance, a comedy and a thriller for November

This month there are some new releases for Bollywood fans to look forward to. Here’s a round-up of three movies you might want to see this month.

From directorYash Chopra comes a romance film called JabTakHaiJaan. This story follows Samar Anand (Shah Rukh Khan) living a double life – as a twenty-something musician who lives and works in London, he meets and falls in love with Khushi  (Katrina Kaif). But we also see Samar  as an army officer who is in love with a young documentary film maker – Akira (Anushka Sharma). This is Chopra’s 22nd and final movie – he died of cardiac failure on 21 October 2012.

Comedy lovers should check out ‘It’s Rocking Dard-E-Disco’; a story of two brothers who work for their dad in his florist shop but have dreams of opening their own night club as cool as Dard-E-Disco.

Disco king (DK) played by BappiLahiri has created a big name for himself in the business of disco. However the Powder Gang – led by Powderbhai (Shakti Kapoor) and Musclebhai (Razak Khan) are trying to deal drugs in Dard-E-Disco.

The Powder Gang kidnap DK and the two brothers – Rambo Singh (Aryaman) and Rocky Singh (Akshay) see the kidnapping as the end of their dream, so decide to risk everything and go to their idol DK’s rescue, aided by their girlfriends Rituparna Den Gupta and SnehaUllal.

DK rewards them for their dedication and bravery and makes them his business partners. He also belives in love, forgiveness and compassion so he forgives his kidnappers the Powder Gang and gives them the chance to be good citizens again.

Talaash is a crime thriller that opens at the end of the month. Surjan Singh Shekhawat (Aamir Khan) is a policeman who’s so entrenched in solving a case that it’s affecting his marriage with Sunaina (Rani). At that moment a hooker called Rosy (Kareena) comes into his life. All three get entangled in a mystery that links their lives together.

Setup in Delhi this movie gives the actual flavour of the middle class Punjabi family. Vicky Arora a young, good looking and the only son of his widow mother is finds himself as last of the few of the Aryan race with the highest sperm count. Directed in the Lajpat Nagar and other areas of New Delhi. This movie picks up the issue of sperm donation and conveys the message  with the utter ease keeping the comic quotient up high at all points.

 

Dr Baldev Chadha(Annu Kapoor) a fertility expert and owner of a sperm bank who promises to provide the best sperms for the childless couples. But much to his problems his success rate is very less as donors have low sperm count. That’s when he crashes into Vicky Arora and on searching his family history he gets to know about him being of the Aryan race. Dr Chadha starts to stalk Vicky to convince him to donate his sperms. Vicky is hesitant to do it because of the reputation he may get if this news leaks into the society. On the other hand he starts to fall in love with a girl in the bank Ashima Roy(Yami Gautam) who is a self employed woman. he tries to woo her and becomes successful till he knows that she is a divorcee. He marries her and they are happy until one day Ashima gets to know about Vicky’s earlier job and also that she is infertile herself. Later Dr Chadha gifts the couple a child whose parents had died in an accident and they live happily.

London Paris New York Hindi Movie 2012A romantic comedy starring pakistani actor-singer-composer Ali Zafar and Aditi Rao Hydari. Released on 2nd march 2012, this marks the debut of Anu Menon as a director. Shot in 3 most popular and beautiful cities of the world London, Paris and New York. This movie boasts of being an unconventional love story between Nikhil Chopra(Ali Zafar) a young Punjabi boy and aspiring filmmaker and Lalitha(Aditi Rao Hydari) a middle class political student from Chembur.

The movie tells the story of how Lalitha misses her flight to NewY ork and meets Nikhil at Heathrow Airport. They both decide to discover London together and during their trip through the streets of London they start to get attracted to each other and eventually fall in love. But lalitha has to leave for New York that day itself and Nikhil promises her that he would come to New York in 6 months but he wasn’t able to keep up to it. They meet again after a gap of 2 years this time in Paris. This time again they set out to visit Paris together and spend a night together where Nikhil confesses about his love. But Lalitha gets to know about Nikhil’s infidelity and wants to hurt him.so they break up that day itself. Their next meeting happens to be in NewYork after a leap of 5 years and they get together once more to wander in the streets of New York. This time Lalitha breaks the news of her marriage and shifting to Mumbai to Nikhil. The next morning Lalitha leaves him heartbroken. Nikhil later finds out from the church where marriage was supposed to take place that Lalitha had called off the wedding. Then he goes back to her house and they get back together this time forever.

Jannat 2 Movie – Read Review and Watch the Trailer

Jannat 2 Movie PosterSecond edition in the Jannat series after the first one releasing in 2008 and being a successful film.This movie is not a sequel to it, it’s the second part in the series. First one being on the controversial topic of cricket bettings and match fixings. This one pulls up another big topic of weapon smuggling. Sonu Dilli(Emraan Hashmi) a smart witty roadside romeo gets into business of weapon dealing.

On being interrogated by a tough, frustrated and alchoholic ACP Pratap Raghuvanshi (Randeep Hooda) who wants to get to the very core of the Weapon smuggling because he wants to justice for his murdered wife, Sonu turns an informer about the dealings for ACP. Later he gets attracted and falls in love with doctor Jhanvi Tomar(Esha Gupta) and successfully manages to make her fall in love with him. He thinks of leaving the crime scene and settling down with his lady love but ACP wouldn’t let him he do it. Threatening him to expose his crime life to Jhanvi, Sonu continues to serve ACP. He gets to bigger gangs but he tries to find a way out where he doesn’t help the gangster Mangal and doesn’t give information to the ACP and tries to run away with Jhanvi.
